Mysore trip

ok...when sue was in Pangkor with her family, i wasn't in manipal from 30th night of april until 4am at 5th of May!

where was i?

hehe....

still in india but in mysore and ooty!!

i had been to beach, wild life santuary which is away from the city and even town, and hence, my recent destination was hillstation and a modern city...

mysore is totally different from ooty...it is famous with the Mysore palace which has 9 thousand something light bulbs that light up only on sunday night from 7pm to 8pm!

and we were so lucky that we were able to catch the moment when all the bulbs light up!!

it was soooooooooo beautiful!!the palace is sooo grand after the lighting and it makes me no regret to wait until 7pm and come back to manipal at 4am morning for classes start from 9 to 5!!

the photo above was taken in chanmudin hill...

we were soooo stupid that we climbed up the 300 stairs under the sun at 12 noon to visit the same temple which we had visited by car~~but, anyway we saw the mysore city view along the way to temple...

next, i went to ZOO!

yes, zoo!!weird?nope! i was so happy to see giraff?(how to spell?) on the moment i enter the zoo!! we actually planned to cancel the trip to the zoo but luckily the driver keep on saying that we should go to the zoo!!and you won't belief how big is the zoo....it would probably take us the whole day to complete it if we have time to discuss while visiting!

then, we went to tippu fort...

where is the fort?!haha...we kept on looking for the 'fort' in which we thought is a place that protect mysore from attacking but we were totally WRONG!!!

its the place where Tippu's body is found and the place he rest in peace...'

many photos we took...but....haiz.....

My Pangkor Trip - Part 2

here it goes, the second part of my pangkor trip...this post is mainly about we all went to ride the speedboat and round the other 3 small islands in the vicinity of the main pangkor island. Most of the pictures you need to click to enlarge and get a better view.
****************

2 hornbills eating papaya, actually there were more hornbills in the early morning, click to enlarge
before we started the boat ride
Pangkor Laut Resort, i think more than 5 stars, specially for newly wed couples during honeymoon...so romantic huh? i only took a small part of the resort, there are still more at the inner part of the beach.
don't know why, i just love taking pictures of the sea and beaches...

VIDEO! i can't even handle the camera well due to the extreme bumpy ride...

2 weird looking rocks, on the left: the potato-like rock, on the right: the apple-like rock (really look like an apple!) you gotta click to enlarge =)
click to enlarge and you will see a lady-like figure leaning on the rock don't know doing what, hehe...
a small wooden ship from hong kong
click to enlarge, actually there are resorts hidden inside, only those super duper rich people can afford to stay there, even one night might cost you a few thousand at least!!! many celebrities used to stay here too, like Datuk Michelle Yeoh (she stays here quite often during holidays) and some other international footballers like David Beckham! *roll eyes*

another video!! the wind sounds so eerie~~~

click to enlarge. you will see a tortoise head protrudes from the rock

okay, this is funny (again, i don't know why) click to enlarge and you will see 2 pointy rocks which look very much like the legs of a person, lying down!
the beauty of nature huh, this really looks like a whale, blowing water out from the blowhole
live sea cucumber, when you hold it, it will produce sticky white liquid from the very right end (Cloaca) it will shrink too if you hold it...
ooops, i forgot what this is called in english, but i think in chinese it's called the "hai dan". anyone knows what is this called?
OMG, sea coral~worth a few thousands...too bad we can't keep it according to our private tour guide a.k.a the guy who took us around the islands with his speed boat
this place is weird, according to him, every year around chinese new year (chu yi-first day of the new year and shi wu-the fifteenth day of the new year), the sea water will subside and reveal a long stretch of beach from one end to another end (not captured in this pic) and you can actually walk on the beach during that 2 hours as the water will only subside for 2 hours! So, don't stay there for more than 2 hours!!!
click to enlarge, the lover trees and the "lamp-post". Haha, the guy jokingly told me that by touching the lover trees, i will get a boyfriend very soon! aiyoh....i want to touch lahh!!! *geram*
a huge crocodile-like rock lying on another rock
so many snorkerllers!!
colourful fishes~

hmm...i didn't snorkel lah because i don't even know how to swim!!! shame shame~but both my parents and my sis did...how sad, i can only be the photographer and fed the fishes with bread.
wheeee~~~after another SUPER DUPER bumpy speed boat ride! all smile =)

My Pangkor Trip - Part 1

As i've told you in the previous post, i'm going to Pangkor for a few days during my semester break, so now i'm back from the trip obviously and decided to post an entry about it. i'm not sure whether i should write a long story about it or just post pictures with captions...cuz i'm just not that good at describing stuff, especially using all the adjectives to bring the experience alive once more. THEREFORE, i decided to post pictures with captions (maybe with a couple of sentences will do)

Terminal Jetty in Lumut
Welcome to Pangkor island
One of the angle from the jetty
this was the ferry we rode
inside the ferry

upon arrival of the jetty of pulau pangkor
in pulau pangkor, your transportations are either by van or bike (or you prefer by foot?)
me and my sis in the van (we got this private driver to be our tour guide for that day, haha, cost us RM40)
this was where we stayed (it was the chalet type, just opposite a long stretch of white sandy beach...love it!)
here we go, the island sightseeing (our private driver actually drove us around the island, you know what, the route was so curvy all the way until i got motion sickness....*sob*)

the first place we visited, a temple called Lin Je Kong (the most famous temple in Pangkor), to enter the temple, you will first come across a beach as shown

you have to climb up the stairs to reach the temple
Me and the mermaid (which is part of the deco in the temple)
view from the temple
a place where you can take the joss-sticks and from the pic you can see a shelf with lotsa compartments, they contain pieces of small papers where you can collect after you "shake" the bamboo cylinder with wooden sticks inside and eventually one of the stick will drop out from the cylinder, there will be a number on that stick and you pick the paper with the same number from the shelf and see what's the paper says about your fate or something...
the temple is partly surrounded by sea
i think this spot is meant for couple to take pic...hahaha!
another temple...ohh, i feel so serene now :p

the square-shaped entrance on the left, will lead you to a mini great wall of china, but i was too tired to climb all the way...

i like this. it looks like some kind of set where they shoot the ancient movie or drama...
"shi de, niang niang..." hahahaha!
the approx. 300-year-old Dutch fort

view from the fort
further inside of the dutch fort

we were back to the hotel after visited the dutch fort and i couldn't take it anymore, motion sickness really got into me, so i terus went to bed and slept....until it was time for dinner

sunset view from our room (taken by my sis while i was still zzzZZZ)
night view of the swimming pool in front of our room
Time for dinner and i was starving.....(slurp~)
YAY, my fav...

after dinner, it was time to hit the beach!!!
in fact, there were lotsa pics taken at the beach, but i somehow managed to shortlist them into 2 only...hahaha..

it wasn't complete without a jumping pic (which i love to do the most) you will be shocked if you happen to glance through my folder for this pangkor trip, cuz there are too many pics like this with us, the 2 siao poh jumping around like nobody's business...lol!
after all the jumpings (we even jumped on the bed to take pics), it was time to hit the sack
see? how mouliu can we get...still take pics before we went to sleep :D
~end of part 1~
